the cinch Story
In the words of Colton McKenzie - CEO/President
“Life changed the day my first daughter was born. On that day I made a promise to my family that I would build a life that we could be proud of. With a newborn at home and my wife stepping into motherhood I made the decision to quit my current post frame job and take the leap into entrepreneurship. There was no perfect plan, just a clear vision and the determination to build something better.
Over the next eight months I focused on residential framing across Alberta. Networking, growing my skillset and gathering the tools I would need to build a company and a brand my family and I could be proud of. That time reinforced what I already knew: Alberta families deserve builders who take pride in their workmanship and hold themselves to a higher standard.
I then stepped back into the post frame world; set out to create a team that shared the same fire that I did. Carpenters who valued quality craftsmanship, building with pride and delivering it all on time. Once the right crew came together we secured machinery, partnered with local builders and started delivering post frame structures that spoke for themselves. This is where Cinch Carpentry was REALLY born.
From acreage shops and barndominiums to riding arenas and commercial buildings, we focused in on delivering craftsmanship Alberta homeowners and landowners could trust. Every project is built with long term durability, structural strength, and true attention to detail.
Today, Cinch Carpentry has grown into a company that partners with clients from first idea to final build. Whether we are designing a custom post frame workshop, framing up a barndominium, or dialing in the details on a commercial build, the same promise that started it all still guides us. Build with pride and create structures strong enough to serve families for generations. Simply because quality will always over-power quantity!”
